We had a call at the USA offices via Skype from Jim Morris who wished to express his sincere thanks to all who either performed at ,helped with or attended the John Morris Tribute Concert on June 23 rd in Leeds England. Please see the actual text and transcript from that conversation below. We would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank all that made the show possible and we would like to re write Johns phrase purely for the purpose of this journal entry and it goes along the lines that you are all "Extraordinary People" , Who did "Extraordinary" things in an "Extraordinary place"  on June 23 rd 2013 .

Mike , Connie , Rodney , Ian , Andy , Mel , Phil , Jude ,Danny and the many others ( you all know who you are )

Thank You All

"Having attended the rehearsals at Parkside church and experienced the start and the friendly atmosphere along with the warmth of fellowship I knew that the tribute concert was on safe ground and had expected it to be good.On Sunday night at Leeds town hall my expectations were surpassed. The programme was well thought out by the sequence of numbers all of which were sung with feeling and emotion and rather overwhelming at times . As john often said "You are all Stars " . The show was delivered to a professional standard.

It would be remiss of myself not to mention our American Friends who sang in the choir and those who attended purely to watch.

Such an emotional evening
Hi Oh my, such gratitude for making this concert such a special place to be by your presence throughout Jim. It was so lovely to see you at all the rehearsals with a smile on your face and such kind words. To everyone who had anything to do with the concert thank you very much indeed I for one enjoyed every second of it. To meet old and make new friends was very special. I met my best friend at the first rehearsal The Northern Music and Theatre Group and we have been friends ever since. A bug hug and thank you everyone

The Concert June 23, 2013
From both Carol and I, to sing in this concert was the highlight of our sing performances with John. He changed my life and help Carol out of a very deep depression due to her mother's death. We would not have missed the concert and it was worth every penny of the cost to travel to England. Jim, your son was something special and you have so many friends and new family members who carry very much about you. Thank you for helping to make this a very special concert for us.

John Morris
My wife Elaine and I only learned tonight of this concert and of John's death in March, this year. We joined the Northern Music and Theatre Company in Dec. 1998 and John coached us for our first concert, which was held at St. Georges Hall, Bradford, in March or April '99. John sold the whole idea of 'ordinary people, doing extra ordinary things in unusual places'. It was a wonderful time in which we sang in theatres, Town Halls, a 'tent'(marquee at Temple Newsham) and, to top it all, at the Royal Albert Hall. We made new friends and had a wonderful time that we shall never forget, all because of the 'vision' of John Morris. He was an extraordinary conductor who was able to get that wonderful 'wall of sound' from ordinary people whom he had convinced had, in the words of the song (Starlight Express), the ability to 'believe in themselves'. The passing of John Morris is very sad and we are just two people who shall remain eternally grateful to him for what he gave us.
