21 June 2012 we lost a very close friend as did so many of you throughout the USA and the UK . Time has flown by but seldom does a week go by without us being reminded of John Stephen Morris.

John was a very unique person missed by so many. See you on the other side John :-)

Unlimited Voices Travel the new name for Unlimited Voices

Announcement -Time for Change – A Message from the Directors of Unlimited Voices

Things are changing here at HQ. Unlimited Voices is changing to Unlimited Voices Travel and a new company set up by Richard Quarmby, our head of music will take over the concerts later in the year.

It is with much heartache that we announce that Unlimited Voices in its current format will close at the end of July as Steve has made the difficult decision to step down from the Company completely. He has been part of creating many musical memories, but now simply wishes to have a little more time for himself. This has made Teresa and Linda re-consider their futures in the world of music and they have decided to concentrate their energies on the side of the business they know best – the trips, and leave the concerts to those who are musical and younger! Richard will take over the concerts with some of our existing musical crew with a new company name and Laura and Richard will work with Teresa and Linda to continue to bring you a varied programme of singing tours and events.

The last round of concerts which the current Unlimited Voices and Steve will be involved in are the two Choral Favourites in Manchester and Warwick and the Great Songs of Musical Theatre in Liverpool (subject to sufficient numbers being recruited). The last trip involving Steve will be the Yorkshire trip in July.

We will be emailing you all with details of Richard’s new company as data protection would prevent us giving him your details directly. He will then send you details of his concerts and rehearsals. In the meantime if you have any queries regarding the concerts and various groups please email him directly – rtquarmby@googlemail.com

The journey we have all been on together has been incredible and we are enormously proud of our achievements.

Teresa and Linda will concentrate on offering a wide and varied programme of singing tours and events for all our current singers and also open up Unlimited Voices Travel to other choirs and singing groups who wish to take advantage of the amazing tours and events which Linda and Teresa create and have access to. Richard will develop and take forward the concerts to ensure that all our singers have the opportunity to keep on singing!

21 June 2012 ...a day of sadness , but now also a day to look back and remember those special times and a very special person.

Viewing lakefront Homes today and watching Boats pass by brought back some rather special but amusing memories of my friend John Stephen Morris.Why ? Well the very last time that I set foot on a Boat with John it almost sank..... Jim , Brian , Wendy I am sure you will not forget that memorable day.

"That Rat Catcher from Yorkshire with that strange Northern accent who also had an incredible talent for bringing people together through the joy of singing" was a very apt description given at his Memorial concert held at Leeds city hall that truly captured the essence of John Stephen Morris.

It seems like only yesterday that John was fighting his battle with Cancer sadly knowing also that his company was also being broken up behind his back and being left riddled with debt by those he had once foolishly trusted.I digress ,I am not here to remind all about the unspeakable acts which sadly still continue to this day. Its not over till the fat lady sings ......

John very clearly left his mark on the Industry and seldom does one individual touch the lives of so many.

John would not want any of you to feel miserable on this very day so raise your glasses and remember John for the fun times........onwards

We had a call at the USA offices via Skype from Jim Morris who wished to express his sincere thanks to all who either performed at ,helped with or attended the John Morris Tribute Concert on June 23 rd in Leeds England. Please see the actual text and transcript from that conversation below.We would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank all that made the show possible and we would like to re write Johns phrase purely for the purpose of this journal entry and it goes along the lines that you are all "Extraordinary People" , Who did "Extraordinary" things in an "Extraordinary place" on June 23 rd 2013 .

Mike , Connie , Rodney , Ian , Andy , Mel , Phil , Jude ,Danny and the many others ( you all know who you are )

Thank You All

"Having attended the rehearsals at Parkside church and experienced the start and the friendly atmosphere along with the warmth of fellowship I knew that the tribute concert was on safe ground and had expected it to be good.On Sunday night at Leeds town hall my expectations were surpassed.The programme was well thought out by the sequence of numbers all of which were sung with feeling and emotion and rather overwhelming at times . As john often said "You are all Stars " . The show was delivered to a professional standard.

It would be remiss of myself not to mention our American Friends who sang in the choir and those who attended purely to watch.

I would also like to thank the following and please forgive me if I have missed anybody out

PARKSIDE METHODIST CHURCH FOR MAKING THE FACILITIES READILY AVAILABLE TO US FOR REHEARSAL NIGHTS AND ALL DAY SATURDAY,ESPECIALLY RODNEY HILL FOR HIS INVALUABLE HELP BACKSTAGE AND ON THE DAY ,OF THE CONCERT AT LTH, HIS WIFE JEAN, AND CHRISTINE COOK FOR REFRESHMENTS AND A NEW TEABAG FOR THIS SPECIAL OCCASION

Mel for his tireless work at rehearsals and for his never to be forgotten solo performance of "bring him home"

Phil for being the anchor man in the UK with his partner Jude

Ian for assembling and organising the brilliant band

Connie for being Connie off stage and and for sparkling on it

Brian and Judes parents for accommodation and more

To all my family and friends for their support in attending the concert

Thank You All for your kind comments and for attending the John Morris Tribute concert be it participating , helping or performing at the event. There are so many of you that we want to reach out to and will do just that in due course.

We have today arrived in NYC on the QM2 and currently heading off to various destinations around the USA.

Within the next day or two we will be adding images of the Concert to this site and creating a download section where you will be able to either save or print the images taken and of course this is all completely free of charge as our thank you for attending and hopefully it will allow all to remember this rather special event.
